Gau Hospital & Gaushala Mohali Marks Third Anniversary with Spiritual Celebrations

Gau Grass Sewa Samiti celebrated the third anniversary of its Gau Hospital & Gaushala, Phase-1, Mohali with a grand spiritual programme featuring bhajan kirtan, religious discourses and a community feast (Bhandara).
The celebration began with devotional hymns dedicated to Gau Mata and Lord Shri Krishna by the Shri Hanuman Sankirtan Mandal, Kharar, creating a spiritual atmosphere among devotees.
The programme was attended by Dr. Swami Vagish Swaroop Brahmachari Ji Maharaj, Director of Vedic Gurukul, Village Teeda, as the Chief Guest and keynote speaker. Addressing the gathering, he appealed to people to dedicate at least 10 per cent of their righteous earnings towards Gau Seva, Dharma, saints, temples and other social welfare activities. He highlighted the importance of selfless service and charity for achieving peace and prosperity.
Special Guest Pujya Swami Krishnanand Ji Maharaj “Bhuri Wale” expressed concern over the shortage of dry fodder (Tuadi) in gaushalas and urged society to come forward and support cow protection and welfare initiatives.
Sharing the achievements of the institution, Gau Grass Sewa Samiti President Sudhir Kumar Goyal informed that the Gau Hospital has provided free treatment to 1,599 injured, sick and accident-affected cattle during the last three years. After recovery, the animals were rehabilitated in partner gaushalas.
He said the hospital has the capacity to accommodate around 200 cattle, while currently it is providing care to around 230 cattle, along with camels, horses and other animals undergoing treatment.
The event was attended by several prominent personalities, including Saurabh Joshi, Mayor of Chandigarh; Sanjeev Vashishth, BJP District President Mohali; former Punjab Cabinet Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu; former Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi; Sunny Ahluwalia, General Secretary Aam Aadmi Party; Abha Bansal; Ramesh Dutt Sharma; councillors and social representatives.
During the programme, Bhai Kanhaiya Welfare Society distributed around 500 Tulsi and other saplings among devotees. The celebration concluded with the distribution of Malpua and Aloo Puri Bhandara Prasad.
The Gau Grass Sewa Samiti thanked saints, dignitaries, donors, volunteers and supporters for their contribution and appealed to the public to continue supporting the cause of Gau Seva and animal welfare.
