A tree falls on Auto-Rickshaw

Mohali: A tree fell on autorickshaw in Mohali Phase 4 early this morning sources reported.
The tree crashed the auto rickshaw, Tree was removed by the local residents and commuters.
It is pertinent to mention here that last year in the month of July 2022, a Class-10 student was killed in the tree collapse accident at Carmel Convent School in Chandigarh, but till date no action seems to have been taken by the concerned authorities towards a safety of residents by falling of trees.
Every now and then residents have been requesting the concerned authorities for tree pruning and removal of dangerous , tilted trees but no action is being taken to ensure safety of life and property.
However, the Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Mohali Ms Navjot Kaur has sought a detailed report regarding the accident.
