Mohali: Vivek Sheel Soni IPS, SSP, Mohali briefed media that during an operation conducted by Mohali Police against the anti-social elements and gangsters, as per the guidelines issued by Punjab government, under the supervision of Sh. Amandeep Singh Brar, S.P. (Inv.), Sh Gursher Singh DSP (Inv.), I/C CIA Mohali Inspector Shiv Kumar along with his team arrested the gangster Manpreet Singh @ Bhima aged about 25 Years, S/o Lal Chand R/o MC Office Vishkarma Road PS Doraha District Ludhiana and recovered 11 Pistols and a BMW Car.
SSP Mohali added that the accused Manpreet Singh @ Bhima is an old accomplice of Sunil Kumar @ Monu Gujjar, Jasmeet Singh @ Lucky both R/o District Hoshiarpur and Nikhil Kant Sharma R/o Distt. Patiala. All these weapons were supplied by Ashwani Kumar @ Sarpanch S/o Sham Lal R/o Village Khizrabad PS Pehowa, Haryana to accused Manpreet Singh @ Bhima, Jasmeet Singh @ Lucky and Nikhil Kant Sharma. The accused Ashwani Kumar @ Sarpanch has already been arrested by CIA Mohali in case FIR No 115/22 PS Sadar Kharar. Accused Manpreet Singh @ Bhima has been arrested in case FIR No 260 dated 09.09.2022 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act PS City Kharar
BMW Car bearing No HR26BT-1558, registered in the name of Jasmeet Singh @ Lucky was used to supply drugs and Arms. Police remand will be obtained by presenting the accused in the Hon`ble Court. It is expected that there will be more important revelations. Further case is under investigation.
