Assessment camp for Children with special needs

Ropar: An assessment camp under Samagra Sikhiya Abhiyan was organised by the District Education Department.
Sangeeta Sharma, DEO(Elementary) inaugurated the camp, in which, as many as 41 special children studying in different schools belonging to blocks Salora,Ropar,Sri Chamkaur Sahib,Morinda were examined by a team of doctors and experts from ALIMCO.
Speaking on the occasion, the DEO,Sangeeta Sharma,said that the children with special needs would be provided with artificial limbs and other requisite equipment for ensuring their mobility as well as convenience to have access to the education facilities. Thus, the children with special needs, would be provided equal educational opportunities for bringing them into the main stream of society, she added.
