Chandigarh: In January 2023, only 30000 candidates could appear for prelim exam of Civil Judge by PPSC. About 10000 candidates could not fill the form either due to technical glitch in the website of PPSC between 5 to 10 October 2022 or could not pay the fees for the next seven days. To worsen the situation PPSC employees also went on strike for those days.
Most of the candidates connected with Advocate AP Singh in online meeting and appraised him with their difficulties. Advocate AP Singh said that out of these 10000, about 1000 candidates have become overage and their dream of becoming a judge will now remain a dream forever .Last resort with them is appeal to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwan Singh Mann for mercy chance.
Advocate AP Singh said that the candidates have high hopes from Bhagwant Mann as the Chief Minister had declared the strike of PPSC employees as illegal and he takes care of the demands of the students.
Advocate AP Singh said that currently huge irregularities regarding civil judge’s exams are seen all over India and due to shortage of judges and late recruitment, question marks are being raised on the collegium system. That’s why there is a need to bring a big change in the Judiciary of India.
