Why Badals are not responsible for Bargari firing incident..?

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister while launching a scathing attack against the Badals, said that if General Dyer was responsible for the Jallianwala massacre then “why not the Badals for firing on innocent and peaceful protesters at Bargari”.
“Our great revolutionary Shaheed Udham Singh had waited for years to avenge the massacre of Jallianwala Bagh where hundreds of innocent people were killed by the Britishers on the orders of General Dyer…Unarmed Sikhs, who were peacefully chanting hymns, were killed in the firing at Bargari and son-father duo Sukhbir Singh Badal and Parkash Singh Badal, leaders of Akali Dal, are solely responsible for this incident,” said Channi, addressing a gathering at grain market in Sunam.
Saluting the contribution of Shaheed Udham Singh in the freedom struggle, Channi said that his head bows in reverence for this land which has produced the great revolutionary Shaheed Udham Singh and he was also feeling honoured that the memorial at Sunam Udham Singh Wala has come up during the tenure of his government.
Channi said that his government would soon unveil the statue of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh at Badrukhan village near Sangrur city as the preparations were already in full swing.
Continuing his attack on the Badals, Channi alleged that the Badals looted the state exchequer in the past and right after taking office as the Chief Minister, “I directed the newly inducted Cabinet Minister Raja Warring to act tough against the illegal transport business of the Badals.”“I asked Raja Warring that I want to see the illegal buses of Badals impounded in the police stations.
He acted accordingly and could be seen wholeheartedly chasing the buses and acting against the defaulters sternly,” he said while praising his Cabinet colleague. Training guns at SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal, Channi said that he was trying to copy his actions but has failed miserably to win over the confidence of the people whom they mercilessly looted during their tenure.
Terming AAP leader Kejriwal an outsider, the Chief Minister said that Punjab is not the shamlaat land and Punjabis will never let any outsider to take over the power. “Kejriwal tendered an unconditional apology to the Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia in the drugs issue but our Government has lodged an FIR against Majithia which has landed the Akali leader in the soup,” he said.
