Children showcase their skills at Summer Workshop

Mohali: Summer Camp concluded at Shemrock Sr. Sec. School Sector -69, Mohali.
During the camp the children got an opportunity to show their skills in various activities.
Today on the last day of the camp a Grand Finale was organized for the parents in which dances and songs were performed by the students and various sports activities like Lawn Tennis, Basket Ball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Taekwondo, Football, Skating and Archery were also organized under the guidance of specialized coaches to uplift the sportsman spirit among the kids.
While Dance, Clay molding, Origami, Cook without fire, Food art, Storytelling, Sandpit, Craft, and Splash pool were also main attractions for the event.
A special exhibition was organized in which all the creative items were displayed which were made by the students during the summer camp. Kids put up a great show on western dance, Bhangra, Music, dramatics, Yoga etc.
The parents were invited to see their performance by children.
Participating kids began the show with prayer. The ‘Bhangra’ – the lively dance of Punjab and play on ‘healthy diet’ by children were liked a lot by parents. The beautiful articles made by students in craft were displayed.
Shemrock School’s M D Karan Bajwa said that this is the time when even introverted children shed their shy nature and shows their talent which is not possible in normal routine. Prizes were distributed and children were advised to remember the things learnt at the camp and make them part of their lives.
