Chilli cold, fog to continue next few days- MeT

Chandigarh: Cold to severe cold wave conditions prevailed in Chandigarh and surroundings including Mohali, and are expected to continue with chilli cold along with fog for the next few days, as per the city weather department’s forecast, “dense to very dense fog” is likely to continue at least till January 6.
Road traffic, Flight and train services continued to be disrupted due to low visibility of around 50 metres. Due to dense fog several flights were delayed at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport.
Weather department expects the minimum temperature and visibility to drop further with the possibility of continuing cold wave. Fog was recorded with low visibility at Mohali at 8.30am this morning.
