Mohali: Civil Surgeon Dr. Adarshpal Kaur today paid a surprise visit to the Urban Primary Health Center (UPHC) in Santemajra village and reviewed the health facilities being provided to the people. She checked the record and availability of essential medicines and medical equipment and directed that a full stock of medicines should be available at all times and if there is a shortage of medicine, it should be immediately ordered from the store. She also spoke to the patients who expressed satisfaction over the health facilities and arrangements over there.
The Health Official directed the entire staff including the doctors to give full priority to the patients coming in emergency and to start their examination and treatment immediately. She instructed them that better health facilities must be provided to the people visiting the government health institutions and the patients should not face any difficulty.
She asked the doctors to prescribe only generic and other medicines which are available in the hospital pharmacy and not make patients buy medicines from private medical shops. She also stressed on the need to pay more attention to cleanliness in all the rooms.She asked the staff to monitor the health of high-risk pregnant women in their respective areas.
Dr.Adarshpal Kaur directed for more effective implementation of state and national health programs and schemes.
