Friendship Day celebrated by planting saplings

Mohali: Friendship day was celebrated by citizens in Phase 2, and Tree Plantation drive was held in the park with planting trees by the senior citizen residents and kids of the locality.
Plantation drive was attended by residents from the society and neighbouring areas.
Saplings were planted in the park and kids were made aware of benefits of plants who pledge to water the newly planted saplings.
About 50 saplings were planted during the drive.
The participants especially the kids residents pledged to ensure that these plants are watered and taken care by them.
