IAS Sanjay Popli’s son Kartik killed by gunshot

Chandigarh: In a shocking development, Punjab IAS Officer Sanjay Popli’s son Kartik is reported to be killed by a gunshot in the head with his father’s pistol, on the first floor of the house.
While there are reports that he shot himself dead at Sector 11 house in Chandigarh but the family says vigilance is responsible for his death.
A team of Vigilance was present in the house when the incident was reported.
Local police were sounded, who reached the spot and started an investigation.
Sanjay Popli was arrested by Punjab Vigilance Bureau early this for allegedly taking one per cent commission from the contractor of a Rs 7-crore sewerage project in Nawanshahr during the Congress government.
