Mohali: The Rayat Bahra University School of Law in collaboration with Human Rights Council, and Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI), Chandigarh, celebrated Human Right Day by organising an International Conference on Youth and Human Rights. Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh welcomed Chief Guest Her Royal Majesty Queen Nadia Harihiri and special Guest of Honour Advocate Survir Sidhu, Chairman Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh in the inaugural session.
Dr. Richa Ranjan, Dean of the University School of Law said that The purpose of the conference was also to promote human right education amongst the youth and to connect the world and collect different opinions of the youth across the globe.
Special emphasis was on education and awareness of various human rights issues. Rania from Greece, Dr. Anita Caprice from USA, Prof Vageshwari from Law department, Delhi University, Dipika Bahri. President WICCI, Chandigarh, Dr. Rekha from New Zealand, were Guests of Honour.
Patricia From Zimbabwe, Branka from Cyprus, Dr Navita Sandhu, Dr. Shweta Bajaj, Rajkumari Padamja, Advocate Taranpreet, Dr. Monika Negi, Anmol Rattan, Yashika and many other delegates were part of the conference.
Dr. Dinesh Sharma Registrar, Dr. Nina Mehta and Dr. Simarjit Kaur, Dean Academics and Dean Student Welfare welcomed and interacted with the delegates. There were three technical sessions and a skit in the valedictory session. The event was anchored by Monika and Bharti Dogra.
Dr. Richa Ranjan, Dean of the University School of Law, thanked the delegates for making the event successful.
