Chandigarh: In order to celebrate 50 glorious years of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh, in the field of education, the Department of Computer Science and Applications organised IT Fiesta on February 24, 2023. It was organised with the aim to promote awareness of science and technology amongst the youth.
Dr. Deepak Sehdev, Director of Operations, Vivajiva Pvt. Ltd. was the honourable Chief Guest for the occasion. He apprised the students of the exponentially growing technology and the need to keep pace with technology.
Students from 15 colleges in and around the city participated in this event with over 200 entries. Various competitions were held under this event pertaining to IT like Website Designing, Software Development, Rangoli, Poster making, e-Waste modelling and PowerPoint presentations for which the winners were felicitated
The Chief Guest, Deepak Sehdev, congratulated both the College and the Department for organizing such an event and stressed on the importance of such competitions which help in personality development.
Principal, Dr. Jatinder Kaur, appreciated the efforts of the Computer Department and encouraged students to participate in such events in order to excel in all walks of life.
