Lata Mangeshkar tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms and was admitted on January 8 to Breach Candy Hospital

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away on February 6, 2022. The 92-year-old singer who was awarded Bharat Ratna was hospitalized for past 29 days at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital.

The Centre has declared two-day national mourning, and the singer will be accorded State honours at her funeral.

As a mark of respect, the BJP postponed the release of manifestos for U.P. and Goa Assembly elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be going to Mumbai to pay his respects to the late singer.
