Lecture on Punjabi drama ‘Kallar’ held at MCM Chandigarh

Chandigarh: Punjabi Department of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised a lecture on Punjabi drama ‘Kallar’ written by Dr. Savrajbir.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Sarabjit Singh, Head, School of Punjabi Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Dr. Sarabjit gave an insightful lecture on the drama, discussing the plot and the characters of the drama in detail. Deliberating on the issues of unemployment, migration, etc., Dr. Sarabjit said that Kallar encourages the young generation to solve these problems with their prudence.
The lecture culminated with an interactive session wherein the students discussed the intricacies of the drama with the expert.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava lauded this academic endeavour of the Punjabi Department and expressed her views on the challenges before the youth in the present era and asserted that the energy of the youth has to be channelised in proper manner in order to empower them to overcome those challenges.
