MCM celebrates Constitution Day

Chandigarh: To mark the celebration of Constitution Day, Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, organised a host of activities aimed at reiterating the values and principles enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
The Department of Political Science and NSS units of the college organised an event wherein the Preamble of the Indian Constitution was read out in the presence of Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava, staff and students.
In another event, the Department of Political Science, in collaboration with Electoral Literacy Club of the college, conducted Poster Making Competition on the theme “Elections and Indian Democracy”.
An online Essay Writing Competition was also held by the Department of Political Science on the theme ‘India – Mother of Democracy’. Both the competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation of the students of various streams.
Expressing appreciation for the efforts to celebrate Constitution Day with great fervour, Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava motivated the youth to uphold the principles and values enshrined in our Constitution. She asserted that this is a day to express gratitude to the makers of our Constitution and urged the students to commit themselves to building the India of our dreams.
