MCM holds monthly havan yajna

Chandigarh: The Arya Samaj Committee of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised the monthly havan yajna.
The tradition of monthly havan at the college aims to inculcate Vedic values in the students and to keep them in touch with rich Indian culture and Vedic practices.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava along with the staff and students offered prayers to the holy fire amidst the chanting of shlokas and mantras. The staff members and students whose birthdays fall in the month of November were blessed with garlands on this occasion by the Principal.
A Speech Competition on the topic ‘Spirit of Resilience and Revival of Life after COVID’ was conducted after the havan, wherein the participants expressed their nuanced views on the topic.
Dr. Nisha Bhargava showered the students with best wishes for the upcoming examinations. Highlighting the spirit of resilience of the faculty and students during COVID, Dr. Bhargava asserted that the college’s holistic approach to education not only prepares the students for success but also inculcates moral values and life skills in them.
