Mohali Municipal Corporation yet to take action on illegal banners

Mohali: The process of putting up posters in every nook and corner of the city have gone scot-free, without even being issued a penalty.
Residents said, the banners of promotion and advertising are being displayed without any prohibition. These posters pose threat to commuters as they were installed at unsafe distance of the roadsides.
These illegal banners and posters, which could be seen on almost all poles in the city and nothing is being done about this environmental hazard by the government. The government has banned the installation of posters and banners on the roadside.
Residents added, these illegal banners are also causing revenue loss to the Municipal Corporation Mohali and demanded a strict action against the culprits. But Who cares?
