Doctors risk their lives to save lives of others: IAS Mrs. Neelima

Mohali: On the occasion of National Doctor’s Day, Managing Director, National Health Mission (Punjab) IAS officer Mrs. Neelima honored the doctors working in government health institutions of the district. Addressing the function held at the Medical College here today, Mrs. Neelima said that she was happy and proud that the doctors of the district are providing unparalleled medical services to the people of the district as well as they made invaluable contributions in providing maximum benefits to the beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat, Mukh Mantri Health Insurance Scheme.
She said that free health insurance cover of Rs.5 lakh per beneficiary family per year is proving to be a boon for the people and the credit for its proper implementation goes to the hard working doctors Amongst those who were honored with a certificate of appreciation included Dr. Rajinder Bhushan (senior medical officer of government hospital Kurali), Dr. Balwinder Kaur of Civil Hospital, Mohali, Dr Sukhjit Singh Bawa and Dr. Rahul Bhalla of Kharar Hospital, Dr Devinder Gupta and Dr. Rajwinder Kaur of Kurali Hospital.
The Managing Director said that National Doctors’ Day is celebrated to honor the contribution of doctors. The services rendered by the doctors during the Covid pandemic can never be forgotten. Doctors risked their lives to save thousands of precious lives for which they deserve praise. On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Adarshpal Kaur, College Principal Dr Bhavneet Bharti, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr Daljit Singh Pardesi, Senior Medical Officer Dr HS Cheema, Dr Parminder Singh, Dr Vikrant Nagra and other officials were present.
