PECOSA Elections held

Chandigarh: Elections for PECOSA’s Executive Committee (Punjab Engineering College Old Students Association) Chandigarh were successfully conducted for the term 2022-2024 on August 7, 2022.
The election was conducted for the position of President, Vice President, General Secretary, Treasurer, Joint Secretary, and Executive Committee.
From this election onwards a provision for e-Voting alongside physical voting has been implemented for all the alums spread all over the globe to participate.
Process of online voting started on 4 August 2022 to 6th August 2022, where 2059 alums participated and the physical voting happened on August 7 where 131 people voted, at the PEC Auditorium, Sector 12, Chandigarh, starting from 11 am to 4 pm.
As per the results announced by Sarvjeet Singh Virk, Returning officer for PECOSA in the presence of candidates, voters and Dean Alumni (PEC), Teekam Chander Bali (1970 batch) got elected as the President, Ashok Prashar ((1978 batch) as the Vice President, Harpreet Singh Oberoi (1993 batch) as General Secretary, Anil Bansal (1987 batch) as Treasurer and Sanjiv Moudgil (1985 batch) as Joint Secretary.
