Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann launches ‘schools of Eminence

Mohali: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann today launched Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government’s first major education project “Schools of Eminence” at ISB, Mohali.
Punjab CM Mann said that it is his dream that when the children of Punjab go to the other parts of country and abroad and are asked from where they have done their degree, they should feel proud to say that they are from Punjab. He said that there is a lot of talent in Punjab. Many children are left behind due to lack of opportunity and help.
CM Mann said that residents of Punjab are hardworking and there is no dearth of ideas among the people here and Mann asked the teachers to teach honestly.
Mann said that 117 schools in Punjab are also being named after the freedom fighter. With this, the children will be able to know that the great sacrifices made by the patriots for the state and for the country.
CM Mann congratulated the people on the opening of the first School of Eminence and described it as a historic day for Punjab. He said that on the lines of Delhi, Punjab’s school education system will also get recognition at the world level.
Modeled on the lines of Delhi’s Schools of Specialized Excellence, in the first phase, 117 existing government schools will be upgraded as Schools of Eminence — which will have special focus on students from class 9 to 12.
