Punjab Government Top Lawyer Anmol Rattan Sidhu resigns

Chandigarh: Punjab Advocate-General Anmol Rattan Sidhu resigned from his post on Tuesday.
In his resignation sent to CM Bhagwant Mann, Sidhu said he was resigning from the post with immediate effect owing to personal reasons.
Advocate General had alleged he was attacked while returning to Punjab after attending a court hearing in Delhi to get hold of Lawrence Bishnoi custody for the state police.
Sidhu thanked the party for giving him the chance to represent the office, it is pertinent to mention here that Sidhu was appointed the advocate-general by Aam Aadmi Party government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in March this year after replacing Senior Advocate DS Patwalia, who was appointed by the previous Congress government led by former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi in November last year.
