Mohali: On the occasion of Doctor’s Day, Dr Vimal Kalia and his team of doctors from Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital, Sahauran carried out a hand washing and Sanitizing Awareness Drive in the Rayat Bahra University campus.
The audience was made aware of the importance of proper method of washing hands and using sanitizer, practicing safe social distancing and wearing masks.
A candlelight tribute was paid to the brave Corona warriors of the country who lost their lives during their work in the pandemic. The march was joined by management, faculty and students of the Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital.
A felicitation ceremony hosted by Dr Neena Mehta, Dean Academics, was held to honor Covid warriors in Rayat Bahra Campus who helped in organizing various vaccination drives during the pandemic.
Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, who was present on the occasion, said the National Doctor’s Day in India is celebrated every year on July 1 to mark the birth anniversary of an eminent physician Dr. BC Roy.
Dr SS Gill, Dean of Medical Sciences, proposed a vote of thanks.
