SC to take up Punjab plea against governor’s refusal to summon Assembly for Budget Session

New Delhi: Supreme Court will take up this afternoon the Punjab government’s petition against Governor Banwarilal Purohit’s refusal to summon the state Assembly for the Budget Session from Friday.

The apex court will take it up at 3.15pm.

A Bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud agreed to hear it after senior advocate AM Singhvi mentioned it for urgent hearing.
