Mohali: With an aim and objective to reduce the rate of vehicular accidents in District Mohali a meeting of Traffic police officers working in Mohali was called early morning.
Under the able guidance and directions of Mr. Vivek Sheel Soni, IPS, SSP Mohali, today Jagjit Singh Jalla, PPS, SP Traffic Mohali in presence of Mahesh Saini, PPS, DSP ( Traffic), District SAS Nagar and Mr. Narinder Chowdhury, PPS (Special Branch), called a meeting of traffic staff.
Team led by Jagjit Singh Jalla, PPS, SP Traffic Mohali, seems to have picked up the pace of efforts against those involved in violation of traffic laws as during the course of meeting he stressed on the officers to lay down traffic checking points at all traffic lights and roundabouts in Mohali and were also been briefed to take strict action against the traffic violators under the provisions of MV Act.
SP Traffic also stressed upon the officers to ensure proper discipline and to deal with the citizens in a courteous manner, accountability and transparency in traffic management system and added that disrespect will not be tolerated and to take unbiased action against rule violators.
Jagjit Singh Jalla, PPS, SP Traffic Mohali has advised all zonal DSPs and inspectors to take strict action against all the motorists violating traffic rules.
Along with this, 25 traffic marshals have been included in the traffic under the traffic marshal scheme and they have asked them to give maximum support to the traffic police so that the road safety of the general public can be ensured.
