Teachers will not do other work – CM Bhagwant Mann
Chandigarh: On the second day of Punjab Vidhan Sabha session, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann addressed the gathering.
He announced that from now teachers would not be hired for any other work.
“They will teach in schools. They will be sent abroad for training. For this, coordination has been made with the US Embassy in New Delhi. In Punjab, teachers will only take up the task of education. UGC scale will be implemented for college teachers,” he said.
CM Mann said private schools would not be able to raise fees on their own. Strict action will be taken against arbitrary private schools. The government will voluntarily revoke the NOC of the schools which have increased the fees. Their recognition will also be revoked.
