Mohali: In view of steep increase in Covid positive cases in some countries, Civil Surgeon Dr. Adarshpal Kaur appealed to the district residents to follow Covid appropriate behavior to stay away from the deadly disease of Covid-19. She said that the basic guidelines like wearing masks and frequent hand washing should be followed by all. She added thatin case of persistent cough, cold, fever etc., one should visit a government health facility and seek the advice of a doctor and get a Covid test done. She advised that masks should be worn while going to crowded places, public buses, taxis, cinema halls, shopping centers, shops etc.
Dr. Adarshpal Kaur said that Covid sampling and Covid vaccination is going on as before in various government health institutions across the district. Emphasizing on complete anti-Covid vaccination, the civil surgeon said that every beneficiary should get a vaccine without wasting time as the vaccine gives the body the strength to fight the disease. She added that the vaccine is completely safe and everyone should get it without any fear. People who have not yet been vaccinated against Covid or who have not had a second dose and precautionary dose should get vaccinated. Covid vaccine is being provided free of cost in various government health institutions across the district. People can go to the nearest health facility and get vaccinated.
