Mohali: Dr. Adarshpal Kaur praises Kayakalap teams for the big achievement as District Hospital Mohali has bagged the second position from across the state in the competition held under Kayakalp program of Swachh Bharat Abhyiaan.
Civil Surgeon Dr Adarshpal Kaur and Program Nodal Officer Dr Vikrant Nagra said that the district hospital has achieved this position in the entire state of Punjab.
Apart from this, the district sub-divisional hospital in Dera Bassi is ranked 9th in Punjab and sub-divisional hospital Kharar is ranked 12th.
District Hospital Mohali got 84.1 percent marks while Derabassi and Kharar Hospitals got 75.5 percent and 73.7 percent marks respectively.
In the Community Health Center category, Banur scored 71.71, Dhakoli 74.57 per cent and Lalru 72.29 per cent and secured 24th, 25th and 26th position in the state.
Notably, government health institutions are inspected every year on a number of criteria including hygiene, infection control, landscape, Biomedical waste management, drinking water, medical facilities, overall hospital environment, etc.
Dr Adarshpal Kaur said that along with the trophy, these institutions would also be given prize money ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 lakh.
Lauding the efforts of all the officers, especially the Kayakalap teams, Civil Surgeon said that the entire health staff and officers worked hard to make the hospitals better in all respects along with their routine duty, for which this credit goes to them.
She hoped that the officers would work harder and more diligently next time to bring all the institutions of the district to the number one position so that the people could get better health facilities in these institutions.
