Chandigarh : Following its defeat in Haryana, Congress’s central leadership convened a meeting to analyze the party’s poor performance in the state elections. While the BJP secured a record 48 seats, surpassing Congress by 11, other parties like the JJP and AAP suffered heavy losses, with the INLD winning just two seats. AAP contested independently. The meeting was attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, AICC General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal, and senior poll observers Ashok Gehlot and Ajay Maken, among others.
