Jalandhar: In a significant breakthrough, the Jalandhar Police has confiscated counterfeit Honda spare parts valued at several lakhs of rupees. This seizure was made following a complaint filed by representatives of Speed Networks Chandigarh, who are authorized by Honda Motor Company as per information shared.
The raid was conducted at a shop named SS Traders, located in Jalandhar, Punjab. Authorities arrested the shop owner after determining that the seized spare parts were indeed fake.
An FIR has been registered against the accused under the provisions of the Copyright Act for violation of intellectual property rights. The case has been lodged at Navi Baradari police station, and further investigations are currently underway.
Police officials are reported to have emphasized their commitment to cracking down on counterfeit goods that pose potential safety risks and undermine legitimate businesses. This action marks an essential step in protecting consumers and maintaining the integrity of brand authenticity in the market.
