Mohali: A month after DGP Punjab interacted with the RWAs at Mohali, a follow-up meeting on the Safe Neighbourhood Scheme was held today at the Sports Complex, Phase 11, Mohali, to assess the progress of public safety initiatives.
The meeting, chaired by Smt. V. Neeraja, IPS, ADGP Cyber Crime, Punjab, reviewed actions taken since the initial meeting on October 8, 2024.
Key officials, including Smt. Nilambari Vijay Jagdale, IPS, DIG Ropar Range, and SSP Sh. Deepak Pareek, IPS, attended the meeting. SSP Pareek presented a “Public Safety Report Card,” highlighting measures such as enhanced patrolling, improved traffic management, and faster police response times.
Residents praised the visible police presence but suggested improvements in emergency response times and increased nighttime visibility.
Smt. Jagdale assured the public of Punjab Police’s ongoing commitment to safety and community engagement. The meeting ended with a call for continued cooperation between law enforcement and residents to ensure a secure environment.
