After 35 years of delay, the Kazzoli Water Works Project is finally set to be completed. In a recent discussion, the President of the Kharar Municipal Council, Biba Jaspreet Kaur Longia, shared that the project has received approval from the state-level technical committee chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary of Punjab. Following the approval, the Sewerage Board has awarded the tender for the project to Environmental Engineers Private Limited, Panchkula, after fulfilling all the necessary conditions.
The company has been instructed to complete the work within 18 months, with pipe-laying work set to begin soon. Longia further explained that the project will incur a cost of approximately ₹22.15 crore, with the Central Government contributing 33% of the funds and the Municipal Council covering 67%.
She emphasized that this long-awaited demand of the city’s residents is now on the brink of being fulfilled.
