In his address, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar emphasized the need for collective environmental responsibility, stressing that neither the planet belongs exclusively to humanity nor are we its sole owners. He called for a shift in environmental thinking, urging developed nations to transcend political boundaries and adopt a more inclusive, nature-harmonious approach.

The second day’s proceedings began with Technical Session III, focusing on “Forest and Biodiversity Conservation,” chaired by Hon’ble Justice Anand Pathak, Judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court. Discussions highlighted the urgent need for legal and policy frameworks that protect forests and biodiversity from human intervention. Justice Pathak suggested several initiatives, including transforming minor penalties into tree plantation efforts, promoting corporate climate responsibility, and establishing a National Carbon Credit Bank and Sovereign Funds to conserve biodiversity.

The final session, Technical Session IV, titled “Reflections and Key Takeaways,” provided a comprehensive review of the conference’s discussions. Chaired by Hon’ble Justice P. S. Narsimha and co-chaired by Hon’ble Justice Arun Kumar Tyagi, Judicial Member of NGT, the session summarized the key environmental concerns and proposed a roadmap for legal and policy advancements. Justice Narsimha emphasized the importance of effective policy execution and strengthening regulatory bodies to function efficiently at the grassroots level.

The conference also featured the felicitation of universities and students for their outstanding contributions to environmental conservation. The aim was to encourage future generations to continue their efforts in promoting a greener and more sustainable future.

A significant moment during the session was the release of the NGT Souvenir book, titled *Voice of Nature*, which highlights the history, activities, and achievements of NGT. Additionally, the NGT e-Journal, featuring notable NGT cases, was launched by the Vice President.

The National Conference on Environment 2025 proved to be a crucial platform for fostering collaboration among judicial bodies, government agencies, and environmental experts.
