Mohali :
The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee has kicked off preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections by appointing coordinators for all 117 constituencies in the state as part of its first phase of strategy deployment. These appointments follow an extensive review and feedback process led by party president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and senior leaders, who visited each constituency to assess ground-level sentiments.
In this round of appointments, senior Congress leader from Mohali, Rajwant Rai Sharma, has been named the coordinator for the Kharar Assembly constituency. The official appointment orders were issued by party General Secretary Sandeep Sandhu. Speaking on the occasion, Sharma expressed his gratitude and pledged to fulfill the responsibility with full dedication.
This is not Sharma’s first such assignment; he has previously served as coordinator for the Mohali, Ropar, and Nabha assembly segments as well.
Additionally, Congress leader Kuljit Singh Bedi from Mohali has been appointed coordinator for the Balachaur constituency, while Pushpinder Sharma has been given charge of the Banga constituency. The party has emphasized giving leadership roles to long-time loyalists and grassroots workers as part of its broader electoral strategy.
