Pb Congress Chief Warring Flags Law-and-Order Issues Meeting

Chandigarh :

Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today met AICC in-charge Bhupesh Baghel at the party headquarters in Delhi to voice concern over the state’s rapidly deteriorating law-and-order situation.
Warring highlighted the rise in gang wars, targeted killings, extortion, and daylight robberies, noting that criminals operating from abroad and inside jails are openly issuing threats to politicians, officials, and citizens. He accused the AAP government in Punjab and the BJP at the Centre of remaining “mute spectators,” calling it a “shocking abdication of responsibility.”
On the suspension of former Punjab MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu, Warring refrained from commenting, saying he would not interfere in internal party matters and that discussions should end once a matter is concluded.
The meeting comes amid visible tensions within the Punjab Congress, with Sidhu’s suspension fueling speculation over differences in leadership style and influence within the party.
