Under the guidance of Senior Captain of Police, Harmandeep Singh, and Captain Police (Rural) Manpreet Singh, a targeted anti-drug operation was conducted in Balongi area of SAS Nagar. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Kharar-1, Karan Singh Sandhu, and Inspector Perryvankal Grewal, In-Charge of Balongi Police Station.
During the patrol and checking operation, ASI Lakhveer Singh, along with ASI Amandeep Singh, S/CT Jagjeet Singh, S/CT Ajay Gill, and PHG Nirander Kumar, identified a local resident involved in the sale of heroin in Jass PG, Ekta Colony, Balongi.
A case under Section 21/61/85 of the NDPS Act (Case No. 271 dated 22.12.2025) was registered at Balongi Police Station, SAS Nagar. The accused was arrested during the operation, and a total of 12.34 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
The arrested individual has been presented before the Hon’ble Court, and police have obtained remand to further interrogate the accused. Additional recoveries are expected as the investigation progresses.
