Kids ‘R’ Kids Hosts CBSE Workshop on Learning Outcomes

Kids ‘R’ Kids Secondary School recently organized a one-day CBSE Capacity Building Programme focused on Learning Outcomes and Pedagogies, bringing together educators for an intensive professional development session aimed at enhancing classroom practices through outcome-based and learner-centric approaches.

The workshop, aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasized the importance of connecting learning competencies with instructional strategies and assessment methods. The programme sought to equip teachers with practical tools to design meaningful learning experiences that foster conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and holistic development of students.

The session featured two distinguished education leaders:

  • Mr. Arun John Masih, Principal of Chandigarh Baptist School, shared his expertise in educational leadership, inclusive education, and future-ready learning. His session focused on outcome-based instructional design, systems thinking in education, and the shift from content-driven to competency-based classrooms.

  • Ms. Sonali Nelson, Vice Principal of Chandigarh Baptist School, conducted an interactive session on pedagogical alignment, reflective teaching, and the role of formative assessment in supporting student learning. She provided practical strategies to boost learner engagement and instructional effectiveness.

The workshop included interactive discussions, reflective exercises, and collaborative tasks, encouraging participants to critically evaluate their teaching practices and explore evidence-based pedagogical strategies.

Concluding the programme, Principal Ms. Anupam Grewal expressed gratitude to the resource persons and highlighted the significance of continuous professional development, stating, “Sustained teacher learning is essential to strengthening classroom practice and improving student outcomes.”
