On the occasion of Republic Day 2026, several officers and personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) have been honoured with prestigious national awards in recognition of their outstanding and dedicated service.
The honours include the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, President’s Fire Service Medal for Distinguished Service, Police Medal for Meritorious Service, and Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service.
Senior CISF officers, including Inspectors General S R Saravanan, Navajyoti Gogoi, and Pratibha Agarwal, were conferred the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service. Mahendra Kumar Sharma, ASI/Fire, received the President’s Fire Service Medal for Distinguished Service.
A total of 24 CISF personnel were awarded the Police Medal for Meritorious Service, while two officers were honoured with the Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service for their exemplary contributions in fire safety and emergency response.
These awards acknowledge the commitment, professionalism, and exemplary service of CISF personnel across the country in safeguarding critical infrastructure and public assets.
