Mohali : Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Aam Aadmi Party government has been organising large-scale registration camps in the Mohali Assembly constituency under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme.
A special camp was set up at Grand Villa Society, Sector 82, where MLA Kulwant Singh visited to review the arrangements and interact with residents. Speaking to mediapersons, the MLA said the objective of the state government is to ensure that no eligible citizen is deprived of the benefits of the health insurance scheme. He stated that party workers and supporters are actively assisting people with on-the-spot registration through well-organised camps across the constituency.
Kulwant Singh emphasized that efforts are being made to take the scheme door-to-door so that people do not have to visit government offices repeatedly. He appealed to residents to come forward and complete their registration to avail the benefits of the scheme.
Describing the initiative as a major relief for common citizens, the MLA said thousands of families are already receiving access to quality medical treatment under the scheme. He added that the initiative is proving especially beneficial for poor and middle-class families by reducing their financial burden related to healthcare expenses.
During the camp, a large number of residents participated and completed their registration process.
The MLA directed officials to ensure that the registration process remains simple, transparent and hassle-free for the public.
He reiterated that the Punjab government is fully committed to safeguarding the health of its people and such camps will continue in the future.
Several party leaders and local representatives, including youth leaders, councillors and block presidents, were present on the occasion and encouraged residents to enroll in the scheme.
Party workers and health department teams were also appreciated for spreading awareness and ensuring smooth arrangements at the camp.
