
Mohali, March 5: Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has launched the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme, under which the process of issuing health cards to people is continuing on a large scale.
As part of this initiative, a registration camp is being organized at Gurdwara Sahibzada Ajit Singh Ji, Phase-2, Mohali, under the supervision of senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh. The camp is being held from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Providing information, Councillor Gurmeet Kaur and Madam Arvinder Kaur said that under the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme, every family will receive health coverage of up to ₹10 lakh for medical treatment. They urged residents to take advantage of the scheme by participating in the registration process and getting their cards made at the earliest.
They appealed to people to remain patient during the process so that cards can be issued gradually to everyone and no eligible person is left out. They added that a large number of cards related to the scheme are being issued not only in different wards of Mohali city but also in villages of the constituency.
Speaking to the media, Gurmeet Kaur and Arvinder Kaur said that the promises and guarantees made by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal during the previous Assembly elections are being fulfilled continuously.
They further said that people of Punjab have high expectations from the Budget Session starting on March 8, as they believe that the Aam Aadmi Party government, elected by the people, is committed to the overall development of the state. Even opposition parties, they added, have now realized that the promises made by AAP leaders are being implemented on the ground.
On the occasion, Paramjit Singh Chauhan, Phoolraj Singh (State Awardee), Harmeet Singh, and Pawan Dhiman were also present.
