Traders’ Grievances Addressed at Pb Traders Commission Meeting

Mohali : A significant meeting was held at Patiala Road, Zirakpur, under the directions of the Punjab State Traders Commission to address the concerns of local traders. The meeting was led by SDM Dera Bassi Amit Gupta and Tarlochan Singh Baidwan, Vice Chairman of the District Traders Commission Mohali and District President of the Trade Wing Mohali.
The meeting witnessed participation from several key officials, including EO Zirakpur Parminder Singh Bhatti, GST Sameer Kumar, GST officers Mamta and Gurjot Singh, Labour Inspector Ram Singh Rana, Municipal Corporation Inspector Manoj Kumar, PRTC Director Gurpreet Singh Virk, Labour Inspector Ashok Kumar, Food Supply Inspector Rajni Gupta, and other representatives from various departments. Prominent local figures and a large number of traders from Zirakpur were also present. During the session, traders raised multiple issues related to taxation, municipal services, labour regulations, and other operational challenges. Officials present at the meeting listened carefully to the concerns and responded with sensitivity, ensuring that several issues were resolved on the spot.
For the remaining matters, the administration assured timely resolution through proper follow-up.
The initiative was appreciated by the trading community, who expressed satisfaction over the prompt response and direct interaction with officials. Traders also thanked the Punjab Government for establishing the Traders Commission, stating that it has provided an effective platform for addressing their grievances.
They further lauded the government’s trader-friendly policies and expressed confidence that such initiatives would strengthen the business environment. The traders assured continued cooperation with the government in the future, emphasizing the importance of dialogue between authorities and the business community for smooth economic functioning.
