Mohali : Minerva Academy FC is ready to represent India at the prestigious MIC Cup 2026, scheduled to be held in Costa Brava, Spain, from April 1 to 5. The academy will compete in the Under-15 category, widely regarded as one of the toughest segments of the tournament featuring elite youth teams from across the globe.
The MIC Cup will host 52 teams in this category, with Spain leading participation, followed by strong representation from the United States, Brazil, and Canada. Several other footballing nations, including Germany, Japan, and Portugal, will also take part, highlighting the global stature of the competition.
In a major achievement, Minerva Academy FC has been placed in Pot 1 alongside top academies such as Atlético Madrid, Villarreal CF, and SC Braga. This reflects the academy’s rising reputation in international youth football.
Minerva faces a challenging group stage, where it will take on Boca OC (USA), Kaptiva Sports Academy (Spain), and EF Santa Ana (Spain). The team opens its campaign on April 1, followed by two key matches on April 2.
The academy has consistently impressed in global tournaments like the Gothia Cup and Mina Cup, winning the latter in 2022. Its participation in the MIC Cup reinforces its commitment to providing international exposure and strengthening the future of Indian football.
