Chandigarh: Punjab Women’s Commission Chairman Manisha Gulati, who was surrounded by controversies in the past, has been removed from her post.
Manisha Gulati was given extension by the Punjab Government through a letter dated 18-9-2020, but as per the letter dated 31-01-2023, issued by Additional Chief Secretry Department of Social Security Women and Child Development there is no provision of extension beyond 3 years, in the act for the sitting chairperson or the member of the punjab state commission for women.
