NEET UG revised scorecards released after Supreme Court ruling
The Aman Sandesh Times
New Delhi : The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the revised NEET UG 2024 results today. This update follows a
Supreme Court decision to retract compensatory marks
initially awarded to some students for an erroneous Physics question.
Initially, the NTA awarded additional marks to a group of students who answered a Physics question based on an incorrect reference in their old Class 12 NCERT science textbook.
However, the Supreme Court decided that
only the accurate answer should be accepted,
and any other responses would not receive marks.
Consequently, the scores of 44 candidates, who had achieved a perfect score of 720/720 and secured All India Rank (AIR) 1, were adjusted down by five marks, costing them their top positions.
