The Aman Sandesh Times

New Delhi : The rebellion in BJP Haryana has intensified after several leaders have been denied tickets and are opting to quit the party. A lot of leaders are also choosing to go Independent.
This comes after the saffron party had released its first list of 67 candidates last week.
Several key figures expressed their displeasure with the selection process and stepped down from their posts.
Disappointed by the party, Haryana Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala dropped the party and announced his decision to contest as an independent.
Similarly, Savitri Jindal, mother of sitting BJP MP from Kurukshetra, Naveen Jindal too has declared her intent to contest as an independent. She was overlooked in favor of sitting MLA Kamal Gupta.
Likewise, former minister Karan Dev Kamboj also stepped down as state BJP’s OBC Morcha chief after party ignored his candidature. He will now contest as an independent.
The Congress, which is trying to capitalize on the anti-incumbency sentiment, is a formidable opponent for the BJP, which is attempting to win a hat-trick in Haryana.
The voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5 and the last date for filing nominations is September 12. The counting of votes will be held on October 8.
In the 2019 assembly polls, the BJP became the single-largest party with 40 seats, and Congress won 30 seats.
