Kunal Sood, a student of Shivalik School for International & Contemporary Studies (SSICS), Phase 7, Mohali, has secured the top position in his school in the CBSE Class 12 board examinations, scoring an outstanding 96.6% (483 out of 500 marks) in the Humanities stream.
The son of Sub Inspector Narinder Sood (Reader to DIG, Ludhiana Range) and Mrs. Navneen Sood, Kunal achieved this remarkable result entirely through self-study, without the aid of external tuition—a testament to his dedication and discipline.
Currently serving as the Head Boy of SSICS, Kunal is widely respected for his leadership skills and involvement in social initiatives. He actively provides free tuition to underprivileged students up to Class 12, reflecting his commitment to community service.
Kunal has set his sights on joining the Civil Services, driven by a passion for public service and a desire to uphold the values of justice, equality, and nation-building.
The school management and faculty praised his accomplishment, describing him as “a role model of self-discipline, integrity, and academic excellence.”
