In a bid to inspire and guide the youth, 2018-batch IPS officer and SSP of Fatehgarh Sahib, Shubham Aggarwal, visited the School of Eminence, Bhargo Camp, under the Punjab Government’s School Mentorship Program. Addressing students of Classes 10, 11, and 12, Mr. Aggarwal encouraged them to set clear goals and work diligently to achieve success.
Emphasizing the importance of determination and purpose, Mr. Aggarwal stated that no profession is superior or inferior, and it is the drive for success that helps individuals excel in any chosen field. He highlighted the School Mentorship Program as a commendable initiative by the Punjab Government, designed to provide students with guidance and motivation through interaction with accomplished officers serving as role models.
During the session, Mr. Aggarwal shared insights from his own journey—from being a student to becoming an IPS officer. He advised students to begin career planning early, prepare seriously for competitive exams, and use social media wisely, especially for educational purposes. He also urged students to give back to society after achieving their goals.
His wife, Mrs. Akanksha Aggarwal, also joined the session and interacted warmly with students. The interactive event provided an opportunity for students to share their aspirations and seek advice.
Mr. Aggarwal assured students of his continued support and promised to raise any issues they might face with the Punjab Government to ensure timely resolution.
The event concluded with the felicitation of 13 Class 12 students who had scored above 90% marks. They were awarded medals for their academic excellence. The event was attended by Deputy District Education Officer Rajiv Joshi, School Principal Dinesh Kumar, and the school staff.
