Under the leadership of Deputy Director Dr. Balbir Singh Khadda, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mohali, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, SAS Nagar, organized a series of awareness camps as part of the ongoing Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan.

The camps were held today in the villages of Sakrulapur, Peer Suhana, Rurki Pukhta, Jolla Kalan, Baltana, and Barana. These awareness drives aimed to educate farmers, women, and youth about best agricultural practices during the upcoming monsoon (Kharif) season.

Experts including Dr. Parul Gupta, Dr. Harmeet Kaur, Dr. Munish Sharma, and Dr. Gulgul Singh, along with representatives from the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department—Mr. Amrit Pal Singh and Mr. Gulshan Kumar—shared valuable insights. They provided detailed information on crop selection, plant protection, animal husbandry, goat rearing, fish farming, and other allied agricultural enterprises.

Participants were also made aware of various schemes and programs launched by the Government of India and the Punjab Government aimed at supporting farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
