26th Batch of Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana Flagged Off from

MLA Kulwant Singh today flagged off the 26th bus under the ‘Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana’ from Mohali, sending a group of senior citizens on a pilgrimage to various religious destinations.
The bus was flagged off from Phase-10 in the presence of local representatives and community members, including Dhiraj Kumar, Neetu Sahota, Pankaj Handa, Ricky Sharma, Mini Market President Raj Kumar, Darshan Singh Jolly, and former councillor Harpal Singh Channa.
Welfare initiative for senior citizens
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said the scheme, launched by the Punjab government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, aims to facilitate free pilgrimage visits for senior citizens, enabling them to experience important religious sites with ease.
He said the initiative has been receiving an encouraging response, with increasing registrations as returning pilgrims share their positive experiences.
Government commitment
Kulwant Singh stated that the Aam Aadmi Party government is continuously introducing people-centric welfare schemes and claimed that the public is satisfied with ongoing development initiatives. He also added that the government remains committed to resolving long-pending issues and ensuring overall development of Punjab.
The MLA further remarked that the growing popularity of the scheme reflects its success and public acceptance.
