Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh, organised its 45th Convocation and Annual Prize Distribution Function to celebrate graduating students and honour achievements in academics, sports, and cultural activities.
The chief guest was Prof Karamjeet Singh, founding Vice Chancellor of Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala, while alumna Preeti Bhanot, Associate Vice President Supply Chain at Bharti Airtel Limited, attended as guest of honour.
The event was also graced by Gurdev Singh (IAS Retd.), Dr Birendra Kaur, and Jasmer Singh Bala (Col Retd.).
Principal Dr Jatinder Kaur presented the college annual report highlighting key achievements of the academic year.
Addressing students, Prof Karamjeet Singh encouraged them to pursue ambitious goals and create a meaningful place in society, while Preeti Bhanot emphasised dedication and excellence for success.
During the ceremony, over 250 undergraduate and postgraduate degrees were conferred, along with 125 prizes and scholarships for excellence in academics, sports, and cultural activities.
